Last weekend Luciano and Agustina got married at the Dade City Garden Club Wedding venue! I am thrilled they asked me to be a part of their celebration.

When Luciano first reached out to me last summer, I was blown away by his and Agustina’s love story. Agustina is from Argentina, and Luciano is from Honduras. They truly have a love that spans distance, time, and hardships! Getting visas in order to move to America was not easy and Agustina is still working on the details for hers. They met online but knew they had found “the one” very early on – and to watch them, you can’t argue.

Luciano protects and cares for Agustina with such love and dedication, and Agustina looks at Luciano like he hung the moon. Their families are loving, and welcoming, and love to laugh and have fun together – it was such a beautiful day and a wonderful way to celebrate these two. Agustina chose a very classic pink and white theme that perfectly matches her sweet, quiet personality, and the groomsmen wore blue suits.
Agustina got ready at the historic house of a friend on Church Street. I was getting serious Gilmore Girl vibes in this town! Everything was so elegant, historic, and beautifully restored. I could totally see Lorelei and Rory walking arm in arm down these quiet streets and gossiping about the town and their love life! Dade City has that charm about it, and Church Street has quintessential southern small-town vibes that I just love!

Once she had her dress on, we did the bridesmaid photos in front of the house. It had a wrap-around white wooden porch and beautiful live oak in the front yard that was perfect for photos and shade – especially on a hot April wedding in southwest Florida!

Then, Agustina headed to the venue. Everyone was getting excited and a bit nervous – and hot! – but everything fell into place perfectly and she was a complete vision as she walked towards the ceremony and her groom:)
The couple opted to forego a first look, so Luciano got to see Agustina as she was coming down the aisle. He had the biggest smile! They exchanged personalized vows and had the maid of honor and best man translate their vows in both Spanish and English so everyone in the crowd could understand.
Once the ceremony and family photos were done, it was finally time to take a few photos of the bride and groom together – my favorite part of the day! These two are so sweet together they needed no direction – and I really think we made some photography magic at the garden club, despite the heat!

All in all, it was one of my favorite weddings to shoot so far. Thank you to Luciano and Agustina, especially for trusting me with your day and your memories! I feel honored to have been a small part of your lives and look forward to seeing your family grow and God bless you in the coming years!

Planning a Dade City Garden Club Wedding
The Dade City Garden Club was established in 1947. The building is a renovated white clapboard church – perfect for small intimate wedding gatherings like Luciano and Agustina’s – and the club does a fantastic job of taking care of the grounds. The landscaping is fantastic and lent itself beautifully to wedding photography!
This Dade City venue is perfect for smaller, more intimate weddings like Luciano’s and Agustina’s. It can comfortably accommodate 50-75 guests, and can probably accommodate more if planned accordingly. For Luciano and Agustina’s guest list of 65 people, it was perfect!
The bridal arbor was my favorite portion of the wedding ceremony at the garden club! It was in full bloom with star jasmine and smelled amazing, in addition to being absolutely stunning!
The rest of the grounds are covered in gorgeous gardens, with a small clearing perfect for cocktail hour, reception, a dance floor, and yard games. The afternoon sun hits this spot pretty heavily during the first part of the day, but by 5:00 pm it had cooled down and was fairly shaded, making it perfect for Luciano and Agustina’s cocktail hour, speeches, and dinner. The couple chose to move their guests indoors for rolled ice cream, cake, a photo booth, and social time after the sun had set.
