Emily and Jake Engagement Session Como Regional Park Saint Paul MN

Emily and Jakes’ Engagement session was a dream we decided to capture their love story at Como Regional Park in Saint Paul MN! We had almost decided to reschedule this engagement session since it looked like it might rain, but I’m so glad we kept the date as the weather turned out beautifully.

Emily and Jake are both in medical school – he’s living in Indianapolis and she’s studying here at the University of Minnesota. We talked a lot about their plans and I was so impressed with their dedication to each other despite some of the obstacles that come with long-term relationships and medical school. They clearly prioritize their relationship and make the most of the time they have together, and have plans to visit each other during the rest of the year while waiting for the next steps next Spring.

When we met up, they were actually in the process of moving Emily the next day! I couldn’t believe their schedule!

And amidst that whirlwind and excitement, they’re also planning a wedding! Their wedding will be next summer – just one week after Jake takes his board exams! I can’t imagine how these two juggle so much but they do it well.

We started out their engagement session at the Como Park Conservatory and walked around the grounds – working around groups of people and making the most out of the beautiful gardens at Como. For sunset, we walked down to the lake and caught some of the most gorgeous storm/sunset clouds I have ever seen. I’m so glad we stuck with our original date.
