When Jackie and Corey reached out and told me about their family story, I was so touched that they wanted to work with me! They have had their fair share of tragedy but through it all, these two have stuck together and honored each other through the good times and the bad. Their love for each other came over the phone as Jackie told me about how they had experienced loss but were excited to welcome a new member to their family in December! Their son, Carson, is two years old and going to be the best big brother.
We met at Boom Island for their family shoot and to my surprise and delight, Grandma tagged along too to help with all the props and keep Carson occupied when Mom and Dad were busy with their couple portraits. Carson absolutely stole the heart of anyone who walked past us in the park – I don’t think you could find a sweeter little man sporting a slightly-too-big fedora anywhere in Minnesota. He’s going to be a real heartbreaker, that one! But for now, he’s more than content snuggling up with Dad or holding Mom’s hand, and he had the best time blowing dandelion seeds with his mom and grandma along the riverbank!
