Romantic Spring Excelsior Engagement Session | Kayla + Blake

Kayla and Blake took their engagement photos with Sarah and me this weekend, and they couldn’t have been more fun to work with or easier to photograph! They brought their sweet dog Koda as well (peep some of the pictures of this cute pup below!) and despite the clouds and slightly chilly breeze, it was a perfect session!

Lake Excelsior is so beautiful this time of year now that it’s finally green in Minnesota, and we caught the flowering trees at the perfect time. I love the photos we got of these cuties nestling amongst the blooms as they enjoyed a glass of champagne (love that they brought champagne for props!)

Kayla and Blake are tying the knot at The Lumber Exchange this August and Sarah will be photographing their wedding. These two are so kind and warm and so incredibly in love with one another – it made them a joy to be around! Sarah and I were chatting afterward and I told her I’m totally jealous she gets to spend their wedding day as their photographer/third wheel (I’ll be at another super amazing wedding, but I always get a little sad that I can’t be at every single wedding our company photographs!)
