Susele contacted me to go over a birthday shoot she had in mind, and I couldn’t say yes fast enough! This whole shoot was Susele’s brainchild and her vision came together better than either of us could have imagined – this girl ROCKS and is the definition of “thirty, flirty, and fabulous.”

I had the pleasure of getting to know Susele’s family during the shoot as well and their sentiments about this girl mirror my own – while she’s been through a lot in her life, she’s overcome more difficulties than most with grace and style that totally comes through in these photos.  After the shoot, we shared a bottle of wine and talked late into the night about Susele’s family, upbringing in Mexico, her many travels around the globe, and the many life experiences she’s shared with her friends/adopted family that came along on the shoot.

We spent the evening celebrating Susele and traipsing around downtown Minneapolis and the Basilica of St. Mary, which has a lot of personal meaning to Susele and made for an epic backdrop with her long black dress, crown, and balloons. Check out some of my favorite images below!
