Ann & Matt’s Private Cabin Engagement Session Stillwater MN

I met Anna and Matt a few weeks back at Matt’s grandparent’s private cabin on the banks of the Mississippi River. They asked if we could do their engagement session on their private cabin down the river from Stillwater MN, and I’m so glad we were able to do the capture this engagement session somewhere that is so beautiful and meaningful to these two. 

Engagement Session

Anna and Matt have been together since high school – their first kiss was there at their prom! These two are as cute as they come and full of smiles, private jokes, and lots of love. I couldn’t be more impressed with their relationship and I’m so excited to see where life takes them! They spoke candidly about their goals, dreams, and hopes – they’ve already learned to pivot and adjust early because COVID-19 changed their plans, but I have no doubts that these two will continue to power through.

Plus, they have the sweetest little dog who joined us during the shoot – she was a little scared of the camera initially, but by the end we had her warmed up and she was a perfect little ham in front of the lens once mom and dad took her on a walk and calmed her down!

At the end of our session, they were willing to jump in the river (which was the perfect temperature) for a few sunset shots that turned out just beautiful. Scroll down for some of my favorite images, plus some gorgeous shots of Anna’s ring!
